Have you ever asked yourself these questions?
How can I start running?
How DO I start? What’s the first step?
Why am I such a slow runner?
Why am I not losing weight running?
What do I eat?
Will I be able to stick at it?
What do I need to wear?
How do I train for races?
Help, I have entered a race and I am not sure if I will be able to do it?
My name is Bridget Hunt and I am a nutritionist, runner and personal trainer. I also own another company that produces high-end chocolate and ice cream and I am responsible for creating healthy choice options (like my keto pralines!)
I believe that with a simple training program, lots of encouragement and tips and tricks to make the first 10 weeks of running ENJOYABLE I will turn you into a runner.
Maybe you have already started running but you feel disillusioned? It feels harder than it should be and you are dreading going out on a run?
It doesn’t have to feel like that I promise you.
If you want to EASILY get to your first 5k or perhaps run a faster 10k then you have definitely landed in the right place.
Are you ready to run?
I believe that you have it in you to become a runner but you just don’t know how to go about it without procrastinating (I get it!)
You see you don’t need to wait for the perfect time.
You don’t need to lose weight before you start.
You just need to trust me and let me help you.
I agonised for months trying to go on my first run. I went on my first run and it was a bit of a disaster – I went too fast, limped home bright red in the face and swore I would never do it again.
But I did…..
Now I can’t imagine my life without it.
I have a history of depression and I had got really fearful of going out, I hid from the world for quite a long time and functioned with an actress smile when I did venture out.
I wanted to really get INTO running to help with that but also to connect with like-minded people, like YOU.
If you want to learn more about how I helped my depression with running then read this post
I fell into helping people run by accident. As a qualified personal trainer I spent many years working the weights room and spending most of my time indoors.
Then when I got back into running and joined some run groups I was getting asked for advice.
You see I went from zero to half marathon distance in 3 months. It felt easy. I was feeling free and effortless in my running.
I was unlocking the secrets to enjoying running!
- With the right attitude, anyone can run
- With structured gentle progression you will be running for an hour in no time at all
- Genetics don’t stop you being a good runner (mine couldn’t even run for a bus)
- You can work around any health issues you might have and you may notice symptoms improving
- Running is a great addiction to have, it may even replace some of your unhealthy ones (I have kicked some nasty habits)
- Running is a great confidence booster and if you are an introvert like me it will work wonders on your self esteem
- Running will connect you to some of the nicest, friendliest and most supportive people around the world.
So right now I am busy working on an amazing free download to get you started running.
In the meantime you can check out some blog posts and get some ideas.
I will check in with you on here really soon with an update.
Let’s connect on social media too – I love meeting people like you around the world
With love and sweaty running hugs
